Summary
He is tired.
Gorgug has maybe never been more exhausted in his life. He is tired. Very, very tired.
Riz is driving which is honestly a little scary to think about and Gorgug’s in the back. But he can’t drive because his hands are shaking and his body’s rocking. Forward back, forward back. Rocking, rocking, rock. His headphones are over his ears too, clamped down with noise canceling turned on but nothing playing. He’s spent months without silence and months with yelling and all he needs now that this is all over is some quiet but he can’t quite get that. He needs it to be quiet so so bad, but it can’t be.
Or: Expanding on the line “I’m not listening to anything. I'm just exhausted," from ep2 of Junior Year.

Summary
Chilchuck narrows his eyes up at the other man, a grimace tugging at his lips. He still hasn’t quite managed to figure Laios out, despite having traveled into the dungeon with him and his party twice before establishing their year-long contract. He’d been given no reason to distrust the tall-man- or any of the Touden party, really. He wouldn’t have agreed to work with them again if he had. He really, truly, doesn’t dislike Laios, but he’s still an enigma if Chilchuck has ever met one. Laios approaches interacting with other people as if he wants to, desperately, but doesn’t quite know how- and maybe he doesn’t.
…Which is, perhaps, why Chilchuck, instead of spitting out an immediate refusal like he would have done with many of his previous bosses, huffs out a begrudging, “Sure.”

Summary
When Chase and Deacon find a mysterious book at the museum library, they assume it has something to do with Ex Libris. What they are not prepared for, however, are more mysteries than they can count—the circumstances surrounding the death of a kidnapped princess, Buddy’s adamant refusal to tell them anything about the story, and, strangest of all, some familiar faces… inside the pages of the book.

Summary
Violet learned many things about the boy over the next several weeks; for he kept her awake after that, allowing her to live in her key form. She solidified her theory that he was very ambitious, and also nervous of his superiors in Ex Libris. He was not trusting. He was defensive, but he was teaching himself to put up walls instead of casting arrows. He had a streak of playful insolence. He liked pretty things. He was a little afraid of the dark, but tried not to be. He prided himself on his knowledge and intelligence. He was happiest in the books.
He was also—and this, Violet could put together, was why he ever woke her in the first place—deeply, insatiably lonely.
