Summary
Francis Crozier was not a religious man, but on the third day of the most disastrous team building exercise on the face of the planet he found himself hoping for an afterlife specifically so he could earn the right to march right into that throne room, haul God himself up by his lapels and ask Him what the FUCK?
Francis Crozier, historian of South Pole exploration and champion grouch, can't seem to find in his job description as assitant departmental chair where is says that, in the event their leader is incapacitated, it is his job to lead a bunch of professors with food poisoning out of the French Alps in the middle of January. But he'll do it, even if he's got the Beach Boys stuck in his head and he has to share a tent with James Fitzjames.
In other words, It's The Terror, but everyone's a fussy academic on the departmental camping trip from hell!

He would have to try—would have to do something to reason with the man. An iron fist could be imperative, yes, but required balance in return. There was no love lost between the captain and the crew, and all that blood and fear and hatred could turn their dire situation into something…worse. Uglier.
What the men needed was reassurance. Guidance, yes. A fist could become an open hand, a man could be both. A captain worthy of their devotion.

It’s the last week of July, and the whole world is beautiful. But Serizawa’s night classes are on summer break and he hasn’t made any plans, so he’s working full time according to Reigen’s erratic schedule.
It would’ve been fine. He likes the work. He likes Reigen. But his blood pressure is suffering the effects of seeing his boss slash crush slash best friend in the world throw himself in harms way every weekday between the hours of 08-18.
