John "Soap" MacTavish used to be a military man. That was, until he became wounded. Unfit for military life, he has to find a way to live out in the real world. Cattle driving is a huge thing in the states, so he takes up his hand in the practice, finds he likes the months of being in the quiet, wide-open ranges where he can keep his senses sharp. The pay is good.
Ghost is his new partner, at least for the next few months. The man is big, intimidating, and doesn"t talk for shit. Soap isn"t sure if the man even likes him in the beginning, but the days are long and the nights are, sometimes, cold. The dangers don"t stop at rushing waters and crying coyotes and some men just need saving.
Soap always knew he was far more into men than women, but nothing could have prepared him for meeting Ghost, falling for him, and suffering through not being able to quit him.
