Summary
It has been just over a year since S.H.I.E.L.D. fell and the Winter Soldier disappeared from the banks of the Potomac in Washington DC. While not teaming up with the Avengers, Natasha takes side-missions to fund her private safe houses and aliases. She didn’t expect Bucky Barnes to come out of hiding, hiring her to break the encryptions on a number of HYDRA files he had stolen.
Uncertain of his motives, Natasha agrees to the job only if he accompanies her to an isolated location within the Rocky Mountains. In the days that it takes for her to hack the drives, Natasha struggles with her feelings for a man who remembers nothing of her. Bucky struggles with rebuilding his own self-identity and his attraction to Natasha. What they eventually uncover from HYDRA has deadly implications.
Alternating Bucky & Natasha POVs. Wilderness settings. Cozy cabins. PTSD. And at least one wolf.
MCU/Comic 616 Fusion, with the Winter Soldier and Natasha having a shared Red Room history that she remembers but he doesn’t.
Active WIP - Updated every few weeks.
Warning: Contains mentions of attempted suicide. I'll flag the most intense chapters as needed.

Summary: As the Wakandan neuro-scientists and Shuri work to free Bucky Barnes of his HYDRA programming, they have unexpected help in Natasha. Awoken, Bucky's memories of his Soviet days as the Winter Soldier begin to return, but he struggles finding the way to tell Natasha that he recalls something of a shared past. The Earth is suddenly threatened by Thanos, so however will he find the time as they battle aliens?
Avengers: Infinity War speculation for our assassin-duo, also the hint of a possible reunion. Obsessively compliant with all current MCU films (even Age of Ultron - yuck), because that's how I roll.

Summary
When the Sokovia Accords force the Avengers to choose sides, Natasha Romanoff tries to keep everyone alive -- if not together -- by doing what the Black Widow has always done best: playing both sides. Basically, this fic is Captain America: Civil War from Natasha's perspective. She has a thing for super-soldiers. What does she do when three of them square off against one another?
This work can be seen as an extension of my series, (Time Is) A Bullet From Behind. Written with all MCU as canon. The parts I don't care for I try to give a new twist.

This fic is designed as a bridge after Black Widow partnered on missions with the Winter Soldier, through her tenure at S.H.I.E.L.D, & including MCU’s 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier.' For those following my fics, this is a narrative one-off after my Wolves At the Door series, just before the anticipated events of 'Avengers: Age of Ultron' and a prequel to 'Captain America: Civil War'. (But you don't need to have read that to enjoy this!)
In this fic, I touch on Peggy Carter & the SSR, and include many other MCU references. Cameos from many in 'Agents of SHIELD.'
Folks wanting to jump right into the events of CA:TWS can go to Chapter 17.
Comic 616 storylines made MCU-plausible. Mature sexual situations. Comments are always appreciated.

Summary
A fic-verse that blends the MARVEL comic-616 and MCU narratives of Black Widow (Natasha Romanoff) and Winter Soldier (James 'Bucky' Barnes). All fics are mostly from Natasha's POV. This series assumes Black Widow's 1984 birthdate is true, has seeds in her life before the Red Room and the narrative follows her romantic relationship with the Winter Soldier that began with him in her late teens. Forcibly separated from her lover, she seeks refuge and recruitment in S.H.I.E.L.D. with a new ally (Clint Barton). Her path to redemption eventually ties her to the recently thawed Steve Rogers. Tangled emotional webs grow as she is strung between her memory of the Winter Soldier and a growing connection with Steve. As a woman of secrets, and for the good of all, she hides her past devotions while slowly unraveling her former life at the hope of redemption. Survival isn't all.
Note: Natasha's preteen years in this fic are not MCU (Ultron) compliant. [In AoU, Natasha says she was 'raised' in the Red Room, which means she was at least seven years old when they took her in, likely earlier.]

Summary
An MCU-comics crossover of Natasha/Natalia Romanoff (Black Widow) and James "Bucky" Barnes (Winter Soldier) in their days of serving the Russian Red Room Academy and the KGB as spies and assassins. All from Natasha's POV. This series is in three parts:
Part I: Snowed In. Natalia and the Asset are stranded together in the Romanian mountains. What they experience together begins their secret romance. Having no memory of his former name, Natalia gives him another.
Part II: Wolves at the Door. Knowing that the Winter Soldier will soon be "reconditioned" by his handlers, Natalia partners with him in the Red Room Academy itself in order to save his memories of her.
Part III: The Sanguine Hourglass. After a year of being paired on missions, Natalia and her partner find themselves in danger of being separated.

But the Dean of Admissions, Pavel Agapov, was adamant that the school accept the American and ultimately his persistence won out. James Buchannan Barnes was officially a member of the Kirov Ballet, home at the Mariinsky Theatre.
In the early days Natalia did not see much of him, as she was in charge of the school’s experimental children’s program. When she wasn’t teaching six- and seven-year-olds how to dance she was in training with the other dancers who actually worked for the school instead of- or while- studying there. There were few lines between student, faculty, and troupe, and many were at least two of the three. In this way the school survived, and Natalia took little note of the American.
