A vast majority of the school had been subjected to her routine of late night cello solos upon her arrival to Nevermore. It only helped to fuel the mild disdain the students had for the girl, among her other eccentricities. But, as with any repeated occurrence, they eventually grew to tolerate the nighttime serenade; even if it was occurring after lights out.
Still it came as quite the surprise to Wednesday when, within the first week of her return to Nevermore and the start of a new semester, she heard the faint distant sound of a violin join her in her rendition of bad guy by Billie Eilish.

Summary
At eight years old, Kara Zor-El came to the unpleasant conclusion that she was, in fact, living inside a comic book world. She had memories of another life lived on a planet far from Krypton, but her very real present life was on a planet that every one of her memories gleaned from comic books, cartoons, television shows, and movies told her was doomed. What made it even worse was there were so many versions of those memories that determining the specific details of what was to come was impossible. Fortunately, those memories came with maturity and perspective that led her to doing the unthinkable.
She asked for help.
