Astarion is is quiet for a moment, his mind and heart at war with each other. The logical part of him knows he should have killed her. That would have been safest, most efficient, but there were other factors at play. She was wounded, alone, helpless. She was weak, and a threat, but she was just a victim as well.
Somehow, in some way, a part of him could see his own reflection in her eyes.
Dark Urge but with the added complication that they are a werewolf. Also, what if Astarion meets someone who is such an absolute mess that he is able to put away that manipulative little plan of his? Or that durge is so absolutely insanely vulnerable that he sees himself in them?

“She’s in no danger,” he assured them. “The gifts of a Reaper are channelled through a place of deep sorrow and grief where one should not dwell indefinitely: she is merely exhausted, and in light of this ordeal coming to an end, her body and mind are insisting upon rest and recuperation for a time. I shall go with her to find a room and get her settled in.”
Takes place immediately following the ending of Act 3 and features Emmrich and Amina taking a moment to themselves after all is said and done. Emmrich takes care of his beloved Reaper, and following a brief discussion about their respective plans for the future, she returns the favour.

Summary
There was no ceremony, only Emmrich raising his staff and one hand tracing a sigil in the air. Between the two the air solidified, took shape, and became a sphere of fire and incandescence. The center of it gleamed whitely, shading through yellow and orange and back to blue in the corona so it was as if Emmrich had the sun cupped in his palms, the only true piece of light in this place.
Or: Emmrich has a rough day. Rook decides to comfort him and they end up comforting each other. As is to be expected.
