Most were attending the ball, mingling in the courtyard, others were leaving, either needing to attend to their children or needing sleep. Some were servants and housekeepers, tending to the house and its guests with the utmost care despite the hour.
Footsteps rang out behind him, and Marcus opened his mouth to tell Silvia to get lost but stopped when a gloved arm leaned against the railing. His sister wasn"t wearing gloves tonight.

Just as bad is the fact that he has to share a classroom with Oliver Wood and Percy Weasley from now... At least the redhead seems indifferent to him.
