Summary
A series of Little Verse/Classification AUs/one-shots in the BNHA world. Most of the parts are either Little Shinsou Hitoshi-centric or Little Aizawa Shouta-centric.
Originally, I wrote Diverging Paths as a chapter fic. Some AUs were interconnected; some were standalone. Regardless, I decided to repost them as separate one-shots/fics as Diverging Paths was getting too long (in my opinion). The original Diverging Paths fic is part one of the series, but know it is not being updated.
For shorter one-shots ( >1.5k words )/drabbles, they can be found in what's technically the 'sequel' to Diverging Paths! [See: Stepping Stones (Part 23)].
Unless specified otherwise, these one-shots are standalones.

“It’s just…” Mizuki starts to speak, and their words are quiet, deliberately light and nonchalant. “Some days, it just seems too good to be true, doesn’t it?”
The silence lingers. All the words left unsaid. What is? Ena wants to ask, but she’s almost afraid of the answer.
“Don’t go anywhere.” She reaches out to grab their hand instead. “We’ll figure it out together, so don’t go.”
Slowly, very carefully, Mizuki squeezes her hand back.
“Yeah,” they say. “I’m staying right here.”
or, ena's perspective on just what change might mean for mizuki, and what it means for her to wait for mizuki forever.

It starts with an idea. A simple, innocuous bet.
Ena says, "Go to school for three days. No skipping a single lesson."
And just like that — they choke on their next inhale. The blanketing warmth in their chest fizzles into uncertainty.
Mizuki laughs weakly. "Um. What?"
"Go to school without skipping. And I'm even being generous. Three days in exchange for my one week of social media inactivity."
In hindsight, it's almost funny just what three days at school can reveal; the fear that comes with being seen, the shame of having to pretend — and just what it means for Mizuki to stare at the face of kindness and have to believe in its sincerity.
But for Ena, they want to try, at least. For her, they want to stop running.
