He looked up again, befuddled. The effect was lessened without his glasses, but he did look prettier, so it was an even tradeoff.
"I can't believe you introduced me to your friends like that!" she said in her very best 'indignant' voice. "'Like' a sister? Is that what I am to you? A fake sister? After Sojiro even said that it was okay if his kids shared an apartment?"
"Ah... sorry," Akira said mildly. He didn't sound very sorry. He sounded kinda like he was laughing on the inside.
