Summary
After Dazai’s suicide, Chuuya spirals into a destructive rampage, ultimately being captured by the government. During his captivity, he faces repeated interrogations about what he knew regarding the former Port Mafia boss and his death. Though Chuuya truly had no answers, he uncovers secrets he never expected—secrets that ignite a flicker of hope within him.
This hope drives him to do whatever it takes to resurrect the man who had once been his everything—the man he both hated and needed, the one who had been his anchor in a world full of chaos.
Or: Chuuya succeeds in bringing Dazai back from the dead, but Dazai is far from grateful. Both are left to struggle with the aftermath. Chuuya emerges from long captivity, while Dazai, resurrected against his will and his plan to protect their universe, finds himself facing an existence he never wanted.
