Summary
Grad student John 'Soap' MacTavish is only two months out from graduation. He is currently interning at the elusive 141 industries, but in order to get hired full time after he graduates, he needs a recommendation from his grumpy college professor.
Professor Simon Riley is a long-time friend of John Price, head of 141 industries. When Price expresses interest in hiring John, Riley decides to make the man's life a bit more complicated. If John wants a recommendation, he'll be expected to present at a conference coming up in two weeks. A conference that is very important to the 141, and could secure John's employment for good.
On the side, John begins talking to a Dom on a dating website, a dom with the username Ghost, who helps take John's mind off of the stress of preparing for this event. Meet idiots in love, terrible online texting, and two men who will discover that the person they are talking to online, is NOT who they thought.

Ghost isn't ready to date, not when he's too focused on getting his husband back, but then he receives a message from a man who enticed him just as much as his husband did the first time he saw him, so he tries.

Summary
Ghost is unimpressed, it's clear in his eyes. "There's just something about a command coming from an omega that's… lacking."
Soap bites his tongue, his lips twitching as he forces himself to hold back the snarl trying to shove its way forward.
He turns to Price, his jaw set in a hard line, and sees the proper rage in his eyes before he breaks away from Ghost and looks at Soap.
His eyes immediately soften, and Soap sees the pity creeping in.He interrupts him before he can start talking, again.
"Dinnae feckin' look a' me like that. Ye know I dinnae need i'. O' anyone I coulda worked wi', I chose ye 'cause I dinnae wan' any feckin' pity."
He can't help his snarl on the last word, he pauses, closing his eyes and trying to take a steadying breath.
"I'm sorry, Cap, I'm no' mad at ye bu' ye know-"
