‘Shit, why the fuck do people always call while I’m trying to sleep,’ I mentally curse as I rollover to where my phone is ringing with a familiar number that I can’t quite place flashing across the screen.
“Hello, this is Eclipse, who is calling me at this ungodly hour of the morning on my one day off for the year,” I sass almost falling out of the bed as I sit up preparing to grab a notepad for if it is important.
“It’s Eraserhead, I’m calling because the Nedzu, is looking for an international heroics teacher and I heard that you were involved with the Overhaul case, I understand if you want nothing to do with him but All Might is teaching this year and I fear that he is not properly qualified and might need someone to keep an eye on him.” I hear Aizawa’s dry and tired voice say through the slight crackle of the phone.
Or, when UA's previous international heroics teacher left suddenly right before the start of the year Aizawa cashes in a debt with an Australian Vigilante turned teenage heroics teacher to teach and keep an eye on Japans No.1 hero who is unqualified to teach. Well, it's not like much can go off the rails and being in the same country as the person your investigating is useful.

Once his fingers were wrapped around the handle of a wrench, Viktor shakily stood up, reaching for his cane with his free hand. “You know, you have to be either extremely brave or extremely stupid to think you could get away with breaking into the top laboratory in all of Piltover. Maybe you’re both.”
The man snapped his head up when Viktor spoke, brown eyes looking with Viktor’s amber. “... Viktor, is that you?” His voice was rough and tired, disbelief filling the air. Viktor wasn’t entirely sure how, but the man was Jayce, despite him leaving the lab earlier in the day, not looking so disheveled

A late night in lab has Viktor meeting an older Jayce, who is desperately in need of a shower and good nights rest. Viktor agrees to let him sleep in his room, learning about how Jayce felt about Viktor during this time.Bookmarked by animelovingcrazycatlady

Summary
The door is locked when he gets there, which is weird. Jayce fishes out his key from his pockets and unlocks it, freezing on the threshold once his eyes adjust to the penumbra inside.
What he sees feels like a fever dream.
There’s someone there, in between Viktor’s spread legs, shoulders so big Jayce is sure Viktor is straining just to accommodate the man. The stranger’s head bobs in an unmistakable way and even though Jayce cannot see anything, he burns with embarrassment at having caught his partner in such a lewd position.
(He also ignores the part of him that itches with the newfound information that Viktor is, apparently, into men. Of course Jayce had heard the rumors, but a true man of science only believes in proof. The cut-off moans he hears are more than enough for him to accept this postulate).
Or: Timetravel shenanigans place s2!Jayce way too far back in the past, where he meets his younger self and a Viktor who still hasn't lost his way. They bang.

Summary
This was everything Jayce wanted but couldn’t have. But now he had everything he wanted, just for a single moment. Jayce was selfish and desperate to make this fleeting, ephemeral dream last, consequences be damned.
Pretending for a little bit longer wouldn’t hurt anyone.
Or, Season 2 Jayce meets Season 1 Viktor. He tries to stop himself from falling apart.
