Or, as it was in the case of that situation, help me regain at least a shred of my sanity.” As he was saying this, the expression in his eyes slowly turned from guarded to thoughtful, intrigued... and almost relieved and emboldened.
Teresa and Spock navigate their close relationship through the apparent chasm between profound emotion and Vulcan reserve and through the daily madness and wonder that is life in Starfleet. Spock is getting more comfortable with his emotions, but following his heart proves to be a challenge of exceptional magnitude. Fortunately, he does not have to meet this challenge alone.
This is a sequel. It would be highly logical to read Part 1 first :) , in which Ltd. Teresa Juárez, the Enterprise"s brilliant and kind-hearted chief exobiologist, is secretly in love with Spock (the Star Trek Continues version of him, wonderfully played by Todd Haberkorn) and does not think the reserved Half-Vulcan will ever return her feelings. Not to mention the unstable wormhole that lands them on the USS Voyager in 2374, where most of the novel is set.

Notes: I literally cried while writing this because I was immobile just a few days ago because of my arthritis and getting sick at the same time. I also cried because I long to find a love that could care for me through my chronic illness. Unfortunately, because it"s not visible, people don"t believe me or end up growing tired of the issues. I can only hope that anyone who feels alone in their issues, finds this fic and finds some solace.

When Eirien finds herself summoned to the King’s chambers out of the blue, she is more than a little confused, but finds herself more than happy to serve her King despite the cost to herself. The biggest rule the King has for this arrangement is to not fall in love with him and it seems such an easy thing to just agree. The Queen may be dead and gone but they are still married and he will always love her, always be bound to her and Eirien knows this... but the more time she spends in his company, the more she gets to actually know him, the more she begins to realise that she has already fallen too deep.
As time continues to pass and Mirkwood continues to darken, the threat of Mordor creeping ever closer, Eirien finds herself at a complete loss. If she confesses, she will lose him for good, but if she keeps quiet, she will only further torment her already broken heart.
