Somewhere between the first glass of wine and the last, between a solemn oath and an offering to a god, Venti gets bound in a contract to protect and care for the last of Alberich line. Sure 1000 years ago Venessa had banned him from babysitting, but he can handle this freshly traumatized seven year old.
Crepus would beg to differ. He takes one look at this “irresponsible alcoholic teenager” playing parent and decides he needs to step in.
OR: Papa Alberich gets lost and ends up leaving Kaeya with a friendly bard instead of at the winery. Venti adopts Kaeya…and Crepus adopts them both.

Summary
The world is burning.
A second wave of Nails rains down upon Teyvat, striking down those that had betrayed the sacred sacraments of the heavens. The Seven’s rebellion is struck down, and the Traveler goes down with them. Entire nations find themselves collateral, and their survivors turn towards unsavory allies in desperation.
A grieving twin carves the world apart in her despair, and rallies the remnants of a dying world in vengeance.
Darkness clashes against light, and the ark crumbles beneath the pressure. The world barrels towards its end, and in a desperate bid to alter fate itself, a lone wind decides to seek out its creator.
