Summary
As Sozin's comet arrives, Zuko wakes to find a strange tattoo on his arm. Stranger still is the matching one Sokka has, which both keep ticking towards some inevitably event. Unable to explain it, they march on to face Ozai, knowing only one thing -- no matter what, Zuko and Sokka will stay together. No matter what happens, they'll be at one another's side.
Only, it doesn't work. They fail, they fall, and just when things seem at their lowest, they end up living through it again and again, until they can figure out what they're meant to do to make it to tomorrow.

“Just work a couple more years,” Daniel mutters to himself, slowly working the ropes around his wrists in a steady see-saw motion against the chair he’s been attached to. “Get to sixty-five before you retire. You’ll have seniority, a good salary, the pick of your stories,” he goes on, seeing the coarse rope begin to fray, “but what they don’t tell you is that when you live in a city full of psychopath vampires who like to LARP as superheroes, no salary is worth this shit!"
Daniel's just trying to keep his head down and write, but the entire city has decided that if they want access to Amadeo, the best way to do that is to go through him, which means that his regular hobbies now include drinking, complaining, and getting kidnapped.

Roy's reputation is in the gutter thanks to Anger-Adjacent-Antics, but he hasn't got the best PR manager in the game for nothing. He'll do a spot on a ridiculous celebrity dinner party show, then get right back to normal life. Or, at least, that's the plan. He's not counting on Jamie Tartt (former Premier League phenom who quit without warning) turning up as the host and flirting furiously with him.

One minute, he’s fangs-deep in a drunk guy who's sobering up by the minute, and the next he’s noticing the red ink spilling on the pages of his book notes like blood – writing he’s definitely seen before.
It turns out that Armand's inner editor can't leave well enough alone. He attacks Daniel's notes and drafts with his vicious red pen, but Daniel only wants a chance to have it out with his number one critic face-to-face (which might be coming sooner than he thinks).

This is bullshit. Daniel has spent two years persistently dialling Armand’s mental phone number in the vampire psychic network, and after two years of getting the equivalent of ‘the number you’re trying to reach no longer exists,’ he bumps into his maker in a dinky little repair shop. In Canada. Smelling like—this is where Daniel must be going crazy, because Armand smelled like a human in there. An unremarkable, blood-filled, regular human, with notes of stale sweat and artificial lemon detergent.
Which part of the vampiric telenovela that makes up Daniel’s life is this again?
(OR, the fic where Armand shows up again as a human, but Daniel's still a vampire, and then they do role-reversal Devil's Minion nonsense)

Daniel’s barely thirty; he can’t fathom one century, let alone five. It’s probably a wonder Armand doesn’t spend his time skulking in a cave somewhere, muttering to himself, covered in the blood and muck of his innocent human victims.
Armand tilts his head a little, lips pursed, chiding. “Really, Daniel. Must we give in to such lazy stereotypes?”
Daniel just got pleasantly fucked in a Japanese love hotel and taken out for pancakes by his sleep paralysis demon; there’s nothing stereotypical about this.
“Pleasantly?” Armand picks up on, with no little offense.
