Summary
Even before Goro cut off all contact, Ren can’t deny that Goro has brought loads of grief into his life, but it’s hard to say goodbye to a friend once you’ve fallen in love. Hard to end your run when you’re still hanging onto hope. Hard to stop hoping when that friend paints traces of what he once called the essence of Ren into every piece of art he paints.
Those burning blues, scarlet reds… aching on the canvas, just like Ren did in Goro’s presence, every time they were together.
Just like he does every day still, without him.
