Summary
Astarion is incapable of love, as far as he knows. It's an emotion that is now beneath him, as so many things and people are.
But he still has his attachments. Feyran, the morally bankrupt half-elf that had been at his side from the beginning of the whole tadpole mess, was one such attachment. But he was *useful*. Almost cripplingly so.
So useful that, when Astarion notices his unexplained absence, he has no choice but to track down his wayward pet and demand an explanation.
Feyran was *his*...and he was not going to get away from him anytime soon.Series

"I hate you…"
Guydelot grins wider, and Sanson seethes. "And what are you gonna do about it?"
Sanson stops letting himself think for once and snarls his fingers in Guydelot's hair, yanking his head down and crushing their lips together.
You know the whole enemies to lovers thing?
Yeah what's the point if they don't fuck while they still hate each other.

Thancred realizes that the presence of an Ascian isn't so bad after all.

Summary
It hurts to remember. Failure weighs heavy upon Thancred's shoulders, but like hell he would burden his comrades with his own regrets at his own mistakes.
So instead he goes to the one he hates most. Mindlessness scares him- but oh, how pleasant it is to forget.

Summary
The silence in the wake of the bloody banquet was killing him.
The loneliness made it impossible to resist the shadows that tempted him.
(If only he knew the price of soothing that loneliness was a sight that repulsed him more than anything else– a reflection of a bitter-eyed man who fully understood the evil he embraced– and made his bed with it anyway.)

Summary
"Welcome back to the source, oh dear vessel."Lahabrea's voice came out on a dark purr, each rise and fall of his mocking tone sending a swift shiver down Thancred's spine.
How?
Had they not ended Lahabrea's existence an eternity ago? How was this possible? How was he here? Was this some mockery of him? Another Ascian using the knowledge of he who had once possessed him to toy with him? To torment him?
As if peering into is mind, and who was he kidding, the Ascian almost definitely was, Lahabrea snorted.
"No, it is most assuredly me."
Lahabrea lives. As does Thancred. Lahabrea still holds a bit of a grudge against the Hyur for being the only one to have ever escaped his clutches, and next time he sees him he makes sure to make him suffer.

Absolute domination in exchange for the assured safety of his comrades. It was a laughably easy deal to accept.
