Summary

Summary
After saving Piltóver, neither Jayce nor Viktor expected to travel to a different timeline where Hextech has never even been invented. Instead, shimmer took its place as the discovery of a lifetime, recognized for its medicinal properties in the scientific field.
However, shimmer’s addictive nature threatens to spiral out of control.
Viktor works hard to find a solution to prevent the disaster shimmer can cause, while simultaneously exploring his feelings for Jayce, trying to mask them as mere affection. It was more than that, and they were both starting to get pretty tired of pretending.

Jayce rubs his temples, glancing between the different diagrams of the anomaly. “Right, just to clarify: you’re saying that a version of me from the future appeared, destroyed our lab, tried to kill you and then demanded you blow up the Hexgates. And you actually want to do it. Am I missing anything?”
Viktor hesitates, before throwing caution to the wind. Unreserved honesty will prevent any miscommunication later. “You also kissed me.”
Jayce’s head whips around. “I— What?”
“You - he - kissed me. And…” Viktor trails off, gesturing vaguely - uncertain of how much he should reveal. He’s always seen sex rather candidly, never understanding Piltover’s insistence on maintaining taboo; but out of consideration for Jayce, it seems polite to keep the details to himself.
His hand motion must convey more than enough. Jayce flushes from the crown of his head to his Adam’s apple, and buries his face in his hands.
