Tim watches puzzled as Leonard goes inside; a few seconds later, he comes out again, seemingly empty handed. It’s only when he’s close enough that Tim notices he seems to be holding a card of some sort. “My brother-in-law saw us working out last time. It turns out he’s been looking for someone to help him out,” he explains, and hands him a white business card. “He’s a bit of a dick, but I promised him I’d give you his card, so here. He asked if you call him if you still have space available on your schedule.”Or: Tim is a PT; Hawk wants to work out. But there's already plenty of history between them, and nothing is as easy as it seems.

Hawk stops, listening to the soft moans coming from behind the trees. The sounds are music to his ears. Ten years ago he couldn't even imagine a place like Fire Island, where men can fuck other men openly without endless police raids and shame. Paradise one could only imagine.
