Summary

“She’ll be no bride of mine,” Bucky scoffed, quaffing his whisky like a heathen damned, straight from the decanter, with little pause of appreciation for the fine booze at all. “I’ve no use for one such as she, nor any desire to be surrounded all the hours the gods gave the day by her hollering, untrained pups. You’re all I need, m’lord, and there’s plenty of you for me.” He waggled his eyebrows lasciviously at his mate.

Eventually discovering his secret doesn't stop her from inviting him to come along to her parents' house as her fake boyfriend. During an attack on the Tower, Steve Rogers makes a desperate decision to reassign a newly reacquired and reprogrammed Bucky Barnes to keep Darcy safe and Bucky out of Hydra’s hands.
