All around him are people yelling and panicking, but Bruce only has eyes for the little boy staring down at his parents. He blinks and the boy is gone; there’s a wolf, a pup, alone on the platform howling.

    Bruce could never say, later, how he got to the front so quickly, but he was there to catch the pup as he jumped.
