“What’s really the issue here Sam? Is it that I paid? Or the amount I spent? What's actually bothering you?” He was wondering if perhaps she was a little tight fisted? Maybe she didn’t like spending money? While he knew her very well, he knew her character, what she would do in life or death situations, there were alot of superficial things they didn’t really know about each other, yet.
“I don't know exactly.” She replied frustrated, looking away. “The weekend was great, I loved it. But once we got home I started to think and well I don't want to fight about money.”
“Um okay….” He wasn’t going to point out that they were currently doing just that. He had been happily married for a reason, he didn’t point out logical fallacies when arguing with his partner.
After two failed relationships with two very different types of controlling men, Sam has a few hang ups about money. She brings it up in her typically awkward way.
