He enjoys cooking, appreciates it both as a necessary survival skill and a reminder of those halcyon days. Recently however, he has had the opportunity to find appreciation in something else: sharing those very same recipes he enjoys making with his love, Zhongli.

An Archon he may no longer be, Zhongli was still aware of every new presence that came into the land of Liyue. After all, if it were not for the sharp chill of the Abyss he had sensed approaching, he’d have had no reason to be out in such inclement weather.

Childe leaned close over the table, an idea suddenly coming to him. “What if we make it a contract?”
Zhongli feigned nonchalance, but Childe could tell he’d piqued his interest. “How so?”
Childe grinned. “Well, you know how you’ve been asking me to show you how to use a gun?” Zhongli hummed. “What if I teach you, and in exchange you spar with me?”
Zhongli’s curious expression fell. “That would make for a terrible contract.”
Childe frowned. “What? Why?”
“I should teach you something in return.” He rubbed his chin thoughtfully. “How much do you know about wielding a polearm?”Childe teaches Zhongli to shoot a gun. Zhongli teaches Childe to (properly) wield a polearm.

“What the fuck…?” Scaramouche woke up in what was not his room. His vision was blurry, his head a little fuzzy still. He could make out that his wrist had been bandaged up, his clothes stained with blood still, there was various salty snacks and bottles of water and sports drinks on the bedside, as well as a ginger man, waiting at the bedside in a chair like he just pissed the bed and had to tell his parents.
“I’m sorry.” He mumbled, he was bandaged as well, his neck wrapped clumsily as if he had never put bandages on before. “You found me at a bad time, I think.” For a moment, Scaramouche couldn’t speak. He was dumbfounded. Not only was he alive, but he was in his almost-killer’s bed, with his almost-killer at his side, spewing a pathetic nine-word apology.
“You almost killed me.”
“Yeah.” A silence stretched between them. “I’m sorry.”
