Summary
“You can’t seriously be considering what I think you’re considering.” Shinoa says, the smile slipping off her lips.
Yuu runs a resigned hand over his face.
“It’s not… We don’t have a plan for when it’s happening.” He meets her gaze, brows furrowed with determination. “But it is happening, eventually.”
It dawns on Shinoa, like a punch to the gut. He doesn’t have to worry about his health, because he doesn’t plan on staying human for long.
OR: Mika agrees to turn Yuu into a vampire, someday. Life decides to speed up their plans.

Summary
Quando Kinich está deitado na cama, mas o sono não vem, as lágrimas chegam. Os soluços sacodem seu corpo até que sua garganta doa. Uma tristeza sem razão, nem lugar pra ir.
Ele tenta não pensar sobre isso. É só o preço de viver uma vida quieta, o custo de ficar a salvo.
E se ele é conhecido por pegar comissões perigosas, é só porque elas pagam bem. Ele consegue enfrentar qualquer perigo, como um herói. E se ele morrer fazendo isso, ninguém vai lamentar. O preço está bom.
OU: Como Ajaw entra na vida do Kinich. É uma maldição e uma benção ao mesmo tempo.

Summary
When Kinich was a kid, getting sick felt dangerous. He supposes everything did, back then. Being sick meant surviving on scraps, rationing food and shivering under worn out blankets. Alone.
Life felt so flimsy… Always one misstep away from death. Kinich shakes the feeling. It's not like that anymore.

Summary
When Kinich is laying on his bed, and sleep evades him, the tears come. The sobs shake his body until his throat aches. Unprompted and directionless.
He tries not to think about it too hard. It’s simply the price of living this quiet life, the cost of being safe.
And if he is known for taking dangerous commissions, it’s simply because they pay well. He can take on any danger, like a hero. And if he dies doing it, no one will weep. The price is right.
OR: How Ajaw comes into Kinich’s life. It’s a curse and a blessing at the same time.

“It's all I can think about when I look at you now.” Mika's breath hitches, this awful wet sound. “Please don’t think less of me Yuu, it hurts so much. I swear I’m trying- I’m holding back.”
Yuu’s eyebrows furrow, full of compassion.
“I don’t want you to hold back, I want you to not be in pain."
OR: Mika denies himself blood, Yuu tries to get him to see reason. He offers his blood, his help, his heart. Anything to take Mika's pain away.
