But Henry is the one who had called, not Alex. Henry is the one who broke their stalemate and reached out, despite being the one who’d ran away in the first place. It’s foolish and asinine and criminally cruel, and Henry doesn’t know who he’s talking about anymore.
Perhaps he and Alex are destined to do this forever; a maddening, all-consuming push and pull of two orbiting bodies that can only collide with devastating consequences.
