Summary
It is a truth universally acknowledged that Remus Lupin dislikes people. He does not like to be inconvenienced by other humans and their feelings, nor does he like monitoring his behaviour or censoring himself around others. Being this way, Remus often goes out of his way to limit the irritations in his life. Sirius knows all of this because he is (one of) Remus’s best friend(s).
In which Remus Lupin is a selfless person masquerading as a selfish one, Sirius discovers that perhaps all of these actions are not just for Remus's benefit.

Summary
He’s halfway across the tavern when the man’s eyes meet his and Sirius finds himself frozen in place. It reminds him of the fairytales that he and Regulus used to read as children, when the prince and princess would meet and fall in love immediately.
This man is the furthest thing from a prince – shirt half unbuttoned, hair unruly, scar across his face – but Sirius finds himself believing in love at first sight anyway.

Summary
Remus looked like he was seconds away from pouncing on him as if Sirius was a tiny rabbit meant to be hunted down as prey. If he was Padfoot, he would have crawled low to the ground, protecting his belly, and tucked his nose between his paws.
Except there was something else in those golden eyes, an elation, a hunger that would eventually be satisfied, anticipation in its purest form. Sirius was the beloved turning to run from his lover, he was to be chased, caught, and consumed. Though Remus had caught him long ago, allowing other men to take him was all part of Remus’s consummation.
