“All right.” Harding straightened her shoulders. “But I think I should also say I wasn’t entirely worried about you. I mean, that was a part of it, definitely, and I’m sorry for that.”
“What was the other part?” Shirin felt the last of her patience slipping through her fingers like reins about to drop. “Harding!”
It was Harding’s turn to look at her as if Shirin were the mad and perplexing one. “Emmrich, of course.”

Summary
There was no ceremony, only Emmrich raising his staff and one hand tracing a sigil in the air. Between the two the air solidified, took shape, and became a sphere of fire and incandescence. The center of it gleamed whitely, shading through yellow and orange and back to blue in the corona so it was as if Emmrich had the sun cupped in his palms, the only true piece of light in this place.
Or: Emmrich has a rough day. Rook decides to comfort him and they end up comforting each other. As is to be expected.

Summary
A series of mostly Gale-centric ficthings written for the Comfortember Challenge. I am extremely slow so this may end up being a Comfortanuary self-challenge as well.

In which we have (so far) comforting musical moments, shared happiness around a campfire on a cold night, a day out at an orchard (with sex), Morena and a surprise bb!Gale, Gale and Tav coming home, Tara visiting Gale on the road in Candlekeep, a sick bb!Gale who's needing his tressym, some sad stuff with a hopeful conclusion, Gale and Tav comforting each other, two women (and a tressym) go looking for something that fell from the sky, an old book, Gale waking up from a dream, our favorite wizard trying to get ready for Founder's Day, Gale letting someone take care of him for once, Gale having a guest lecturer come for a few days, and tea being had in a haunted library worlds away.
