The war ends with a conversation over tea and wine in a royal tent, surrounded by a dozen soldiers from each side, but their blades are never drawn, and the only thing spilled is ink.
It ends with a handshake, a bow, and the taste of bitter defeat chalky on Levi’s tongue.
In the end, they just give up.--
Eldia loses the war, and Levi marries Prince Eren Jaeger in an attempt to bring peace to their countries.

With his wet hand, Levi rubbed at his eyes, bringing his fingers up to push his hair back and away from his face. Levi looked at himself at the mirror, took in the tired, young face that was his reflection and grimaced. Sometimes seeing himself was odd, a juxtaposition of his memories.
He was young, still tired, but healthy, and growing still.
He knew what it was like to be in his teens, with hunger pains, and his twenties, with indignant pride, and his thirties, with a body that had known what it was like to bleed, break, sweat, and ache. Levi knew all of this, and yet didn’t, all at once. It was confusing and frustrating.
Levi slammed his hand down on the faucet handle, stopping the flow of water. His lip lifted in a sneer.
Why couldn’t he just be normal?

“Even I could have told you that,” the kwami said with a shrug, his focus returning to his meal.
“Why did she keep my umbrella?” he asked, only half-directing the question at Plagg.
The kwami, however, chose to answer anyway. “Well, she is your friend, isn't she?” he asked as he finally gave in and stuffed the cheese in his mouth. He swallowed, closing his eyes in satisfaction. “What's so weird about it?”
When Marinette sees Chat Noir on her way home in the rain, she doesn't think twice about giving him her umbrella. Only later does he realize that this is his umbrella. But why would she bother keeping it? He's determined to figure the girl out, but since she can't seem to speak to him as Adrien, his only option is as his alter-ego.
