Everyone grows feathers. The number of feathers is directly dependent on the number of lives one affects. The colour of each feather is determined by how you affected those lives. Alex has large wings, coloured like death, with very little else. Morgan keeps their wings hidden. No one has seen them since their sidekick days, not even Alex. Everyone assumes they must be small, unable to hold Morgan’s weight. Unable to fly.

After the incident with Gilora, the O'Briens have a dinner, and Miles gripes about argumentative Cardassian flirting. They have had a lot of wine, which is probably why he's telling this story, and probably why another Cardassian gets mentioned, and Julian too, and most definitely why Miles forgets himself and mentions all the times he's seen them arguing.
“They...argue?” Keiko's voice is very quiet.
“Yes, I was just saying…” Oh. Oh no. “You don’t think?”
And suddenly the two of them are involved in his best friend's love life, which Miles is most definitely (not) regretting.

Summary
Just their luck: Garak and Bashir are stranded together on an uninhabited alien planet. Over months, a mission for survival and a need to share body heat on chilly nights evolves into comfortable domesticity, with physical contact given and received whenever craved. But all perfect things must of course be ruined: their rescue team arrives. Only then do Garak and Bashir realise how intimate they’ve become without realising, and suddenly their shared urge to show gratuitous affection seems inappropriate as friends. But they can’t give it all up, now... can they?

Summary
Julian Bashir joins the post-war effort on Cardassia Prime because it seems like the most obvious thing to do: No planet is worse off after the war, he's a doctor, and they don't have enough of those. He's learning the language, because that's what you do when you're living somewhere for an indefinite amount of time. But he soon realizes that language isn't just about vocabulary and grammar, and learns a few things about his own past along the way.
