Tae Joo had often imagined running into Gook at the movie theater, or some café or restaurant, or even in front of his apartment. Tae Joo would be minding his business and then Gook would be there, looking at him from head to toe, and finally lifting the corner of his mouth into a tiny, one-sided smile.
