    There are a lot of downsides to being a snake, the rather uncomfortable, painful, and distressing process of shedding skin is one of them. Crowley tries to deal with it on his own just as he had been doing for the past six millenia, but unlike the last thousands of years, he is not alone anymore, and Aziraphale isn't going to let Crowley struggle through anything on his own.

    “We are!” Crowley crowed back delighted.

    This could not have gone better. He bit back the request to have Aziraphale say Oh Bother. He was sure he’d melt into a puddle if he did.

    “Who is Muriel supposed to be then?”

    Muriel was dressed in sunshine with flecks of blue in her hair.

    “I’m Joy.” She blushed deeply “She’s my favourite.”

    Something heavy and blunt slammed into the side of Crowley’s head, hard enough that it made his ears ring and pain erupt through his temple. He staggered for a moment, blinking rapidly, clearly fighting the urge to pass out with a disoriented groan, before ultimately crumpling onto the stone floor in a heap.

    Well, so much for trying to talk his way out of this one.

    A rather nasty summoning leaves Crowley injured, weak, and in dire need of help. His only hope for escape relies heavily on Aziraphale’s involvement in busting him out, but will help arrive before it’s too late?
