Angel had never been good with rejection. That's what he was thinking about far too late into the depths of the night. Rejection had always lived rent-free in his head.
He had pretty clear flashes of memories of some of his time in the mortal world, and many of those involved being rejected. By his first love, by his family… by himself. The more times it happened, the more reactive he got to it.
In some ways, coming to Hell and becoming an icon of desire was something out of his wildest dreams. Careful what you wish for, indeed. No one ever rejected him, not really. They may talk a big game, but he could read body language like nobody's business. They all wanted him. Everybody wanted him.
Everybody… except Husk.

Alastor gives Husk a new assignment, what is the radio demon up to?
He was trying so hard to reject seeing those similarities between him, Angel, and the child. He didn’t register till now that the kid did have an extra set of arms. The white fur with pink stripes running down their limbs and tail, made the tyke look like they could be Angel’s accessory. Husk heard that giggle again as Angel spun them in circles and he knew at that moment that Alastor was punishing him.

The cat hums in place of a reply, grabbing a glass and rag to wipe it with to keep his hands busy. “Lust not the top option?” He offers, watching as Angel smirks in reply and pops the cherry in his mouth. He pulls out the stem moments later, tied in a perfect knot, and drops it into the empty glass.
“Wanna know a secret, Whiskers?”
Husk meets his eyes for a moment, and the spider’s smile is hard to decipher. “I died a virgin.”
