Summary
The only thing Sonic and his friends were not expecting was a second invasion. It wasn't the Black Arms this time around. It certainly wasn't the Eggman Empire either. This new threat, nicknamed the "Chaos Paradigm", has begun its conquest to wipe out all life on the planet Mobius.
Despite their heroic efforts, the towering war machines proved to be nearly invincible, even the blue blur and the ultimate life form themselves were no match for the technological superiority of the alien invaders as they continued on with their genocidal campaign. Hope was beginning to dwindle fast.
Follow Sonic and his friends as they discover the true horrors of war, and the destruction it leaves in its wake. Can they survive the alien onslaught, or will they all die trying?
Inspired by "The War of the Worlds" by H. G. Wells.

Summary
Maria and the rest of the ARK were evacuated before the G.U.N. raid. Shadow was locked aboard the ARK in a stasis pod for 50 years. Eggman found notes from his grandfather about the Eclipse Cannon, but not Shadow.
Instead we get Sonic literally tripping over Shadow's pod and releasing him by pure accident. What's a top secret government bio-engineered hedgehog to do when surrounded by a bunch of people who know nothing about who he is supposed to do?
