Summary
When he turns back around, Xiao Xingchen and Song Lan are both walking away, Song Lan’s hand on Xiao Xingchen’s back again.
It makes something violent and manic and red surge in Xue Yang’s chest. He wants to cut his fucking fingers off, pictures doing it right here, right now in the fucking parking lot. Maybe he’d make Song Lan eat them after.
Maybe he’d make Xiao Xingchen.
The only people looking at him now are doing so suspiciously, from across the parking lot. No one comes close to him, so Xue Yang lights a Newport and then texts Jin Guangyao.
You know a Xiao Xingchen
He only has to wait a few minutes for Jin Guangyao to text him back. I am aware of him. Why do you ask?
Xue Yang puffs his cigarette and watches Xiao Xingchen climb into Song Lan’s car. Sorta thinking I’d like to ruin his life

Xiao Xingchen met his future boyfriend in an alley by a dumpster, semi-conscious and covered in blood.
Xue Yang crashes into Xiao Xingchen's life with all the subtlety of a meteor and changes everything just as fast. And sometimes it almost feels like he's done this before.
Maybe it's a do-over. Or maybe history is just repeating itself.
