Lucifer took Alastor on one date to see the not-fireflies in Wrath. The Lust Ring is an odd choice for a second date, but curiosity hadn't killed Alastor yet.
He still wasn’t certain whether these attempts at dating were absurd or charming. More research was necessary, perhaps, before a decision could be made.

Flowers hold meaning. Some symbolize love and longing, others symbolize hate and fear.
Zinnia's symbolize lasting affection and daily remembrance. But how does Alastor know that...? He doesn't recognize these flowers, yet they feel so achingly familiar. And who is the man he always sees holding them? An innocent bouquet of flowers in a hazy, distant memory. Why can't he remember? Are these memories even his? Is it related to the person who owns his soul...?
And why does he not know who it is?
Or:
No mortal shall ever remember the supernatural they witnessed in life after death, and Lucifer cannot bear to see the man he loves not remember who he is.

The myth of Persephone’s kidnapping by Hades may have taken a few liberties. In fact, more than a few.
In which Alastor, God of Spring, deigns to grace Lucifer, God of the Underworld, with his unwanted presence. And as depressed and lonely as he is, Lucifer is still not sure this is a good idea. For Man and Godkind, that is. Meanwhile, Alastor, hoping for some entertainment, finds more to do than he bargained for.
