“Dean?” The older hunter froze at Sam’s voice, sucking in a shaky breath and willing the vomiting to be over.
“M’fine, Sammy!” Dean grimaced at the tremor in his voice. Way to sound believable, Dean.
“You don’t sound fine, Dean. Are you… puking?”Dean doesn't get sick. Except that when he does, he gets REALLY sick, and it's usually up to Sam to get him through it. OR Dean spikes a crazy fever complete with the stomach flu, and Sam takes care of him.
Written for Whumptober 2023, and covers day two and three's prompts, "Thermometer" (and possibly also "Delirium") and "Make it stop". It also covers day 14's "Just hold on."

Legolas becomes suddenly and seriously ill whilst on a pleasure trip with Aragorn. Far from home and help, a young Aragorn must use all of his skill to get Legolas to Rivendell before it is too late. Sick!Legolas, Minor Hurt!Aragorn, Caring!Aragorn, minor Caring!Legolas, and plentiful Hurt/Comfort with a liberal sprinkling of Friendship and Fluff.

Dean uses cutting to fill the hole in his chest or empty the pressure when it builds too much. Sam finds out but Dean can't communicate his feelings to him. This seems like a battle that Dean can't win.
