This was a creative writing assignment for school and I kid you not, The way I described this work to my friend over text was, and I quote,
"It's a love triangle (Kinda): Ivan has been in love with Zaroff for forever but Zaroff is too dense to know. (Basically, Zaroff is Regina George and Ivan is Gretchen) Ivan does whatever Zaroff wants... Until Rainsford shows up. Zaroff quickly favors Rainsford and Ivan gets jealous.
