Summary
Jinx Lane is a total nerd who's a little obsessed with horror movies, especially zombie flicks. Lux Crownguard was beautiful and rich, incredibly popular and loved by all. You'd think the two would have nothing in common. But both of them are terribly lonely.
When Jinx's cat, Fishbones, dies in a hit and run, Jinx is determined to bring it back to life. She even buys an old book on potions, one of them telling her how to bring back the dead.
Jinx decides to try it out on her cat in an abandoned building. And it's there that she stumbles upon Lux, crying about her terrible home life and wicked dad. But after Lux hears about Jinx's mission to bring her cat back, she helps her. Or at least tries to. The potion seems to be a failure but Lux sneaks some of it anyways, eager to kill herself.
The following night, Fishbones comes back to life. And when Lux gets killed after drinking the potion, so does she. But both Fishbones and Lux are now one in the same. They're both the living dead and they have a growing hunger for human flesh. A hunger Jinx will do anything to satisfy.Series
