Summary
Nesta Archeron doesn't need anyone to take care of her. After losing both her parents at age eighteen, she gave up her dreams of going to law school and worked her way up with nothing more than a high school diploma and unmatched grit to become the head of public relations at Velaris Memorial Hospital. When Tamlin Thornwood scandalizes VMH, she has to work closely with new ownership to save it. She has full confidence in herself and her plan. This is an alternating POV (Azriel/Elain) prequel to my finished work "She'll Wait No Longer." Canon-adjacent (almost compliant) missing Elriel scenes from ACOWAR up to Azriel's bonus chapter. In my reimagining, Nesta is not exiled to the House of Wind (but the rest of her story and relationship with Cassian remains the same), and Nyx does not exist (I'm so sorry I just didn't feel like working it in lol, no shade to bb Nyx).
CW: Brief bondage, brief violence/blood, non-explicit alluding to suicidal ideation, heavy angst
