Summary
The fights were getting harder, the risks bigger and bigger. There was barely any battle which left them without wounds. The miraculous cure was closing the wounds and getting rid of the blood, the evidence, but the pain…the pain lingered long after. The horrible memories haunting them.
In the dead of the night, on a rooftop Ladybug and Chat Noir would meet, hold each other close, give the so much needed comfort and speak aloud those thoughts they could only trust their partner with.

Chat doesn’t raise his eyes, claws digging into the steel below his hands.
“Would you let me kill someone, my lady?”
He’s met with silence.
Ladybug looks over at him, scanning his face in concern.
“You’re serious,” she says, eventually, voice hesitant.
Chat finally looks up from the city below to meet her eyes. He doesn’t need to reply to her to confirm her assumption.
Ladybug looks at him with so much concern he feels sick. He doesn’t deserve that kind of look from her.
“Your friend must mean a lot to you," Ladybug says, voice soft.
Chat sighs again as he lets his eyes drift in the direction of the bakery.
