Summary
Jiang Wanyin had dreamt often of the alpha who would take him as his omega. He had low expectations, having believed himself an inferior omega, not as pretty or docile like an ideal omega wife. He believed his marriage would be an amicable agreement without the flurry of happiness or nervous excitement which happily wed omegas often spoke of.
But what happens when Lan Xichen, the future heir to his sect, sends a proposal for marriage when he presents. Why is his father behaving so oddly.
“Fine. Leave. Be wed and bear his children. But once you realise you were never meant to be Lan Furen, do not come running back and shame our sect.” he said as he left Jiang Wanyin kneeling, a quivering sobbing mess.
Until his father had said those words he had never believed his mother when she told him that the way his father would occasionally in a drunken stupor hold him close, kiss his cheeks and tell him he loved him was a lie. He had always believed his father loved him immensely and just didn't know how to show it but that one conversation had shattered that bubble born of naivety.

He’s laying down on the warm pier, wood hot due to the scorching sun, but just having gotten out of the cold water, his body was the perfect temperature. It was peaceful. The birds were flying high in the blue sky, the distant voices of his sect an upbeat rhythm, and the most soothing, a tiny puppy using his stomach as a pillow.
“A-Cheng, you know you are not supposed to go swimming without an older disciple or A-niang or A-die.” came the slightly admonishing voice of his father.
“ I know how to swim, A-die” he said with a pout.
He felt himself being lifted into big arms, a sense of safety he had long lost taking over his senses. His father held him close as he walked away from the lake and its gentle breeze, Jasmine following her little master.
“Baobei it isn’t about knowing or not knowing.” Hearing his father’s lack of faith in his amazing swimming skills, mind you he is faster than the 6 year olds that have already started their cultivation training, his pouty expression just turned more severe, and in retaliation he tried to wiggle away from his fathers hold, his arms reaching for his little best friend trailing behind them.~Read the tags please~
