Along the way he will complete many contracts, battle villains and heroes, be busy in his civilian identity, meet new friends and who knows, he may even meet the love of his life in what promises to be a very long and bloody adventure full of violence and brutality.
But hey, Dick has known this world since he was seven, so it's no big deal!

With his heart stuttering around the ruthless grip of Dick’s small voice, Bruce’s breath shuddered as he grabbed gently onto Dick’s hands. Leaning down closer as Dick wanted. “Yes, it’s Dad. I’m here, son. I’m here now. I’ll look after you.”

It doesn’t make sense why Dick is here, sitting in the Dean’s office of Gotham Academy with Jason stood beside him and a hoard of pissy parents flanking them from all sides. There’s no way Dick is at the top of any emergency contact list. Given the severity of the allegations being made and the proposed punishments, Dick doesn’t feel qualified to be the one dealing with this.
He stays anyway. Jason called for him, after all.
