Faust went to the door. “There is a penalty for tardiness.” She told him softly.
“I can’t do it today, I’m calling in sick, I’m sorry.” Gregor’s voice came through the door, accompanied by very chittery sounds.
“Faust does not think it is that bad--“ She opened the door, and her eyes went wide. Slowly, she closed the door, much to the concern of all the sinners. “Gregor will be absent today. Let’s proceed as normal.”

I’ve been here a long time. I’ve seen a lot of people die. It’s been hammered into my head to never get attached to abnormalities. I don’t want to be eaten by fairies or turned into a slime or hugged to death or anything else. None of them can be trusted. I know that.
Especially not this one. Catalyst, an aberration of an Abno called Big and Will Be Bad Wolf. I’d heard horror stories about that one, and this one was still a WAW who I’d heard had escaped at some points. They said Catalyst destroyed everything in sight, mauled anyone who got close. He didn’t eat them like the other one, he just completely destroyed them and left them as piles of mangled meat. No one was sure what was the real difference between the two. They were both absolutely horrible. It’s just that Catalyst looks terrifying from the start, and the Big Bad Wolf tricks you into thinking it’s harmless.
I knew all that. But...

Summary
After telling his friends the Truth, Sunny reconciles with Basil in the hospital, and they spend the rest of the day together, finally reunited after so long.
Then, that night, they find that they can’t be apart without becoming nearly completely unable to function.
Or: Sunny and Basil cope with the trauma of the Truth, of their fight, and of having to tell their friends the Truth by unintentionally becoming completely codependent. Their caretakers allow them to stay together for fear of their safety, but only with the caveat that the two work with them to go to therapy and try to heal from everything.
