Summary
Obi-Wan is a delta. He made his peace with that a long time ago. There’s still plenty of good he can do as part of the Intelligence Corps. Even if that good brings more than his fair share of the bad with it. He’s content, as content as he can be, with his lot in life.
Then the RID assigns him to post on one of the GAR’s flagships. He’s never been around so many people, been so close to a pack ever in his life. So close to what he wants. What he’ll never be allowed to have.

ch 42
Quinlan and Jon Antilles team-up/bonding to hunt the master Sith subplot!! Quinlan is an Alpha and the shadows are a separate entity from the RID and deltas. Jon is a delta who gets himself frequently declared kia by the RID so that he doesn’t have to deal with them until they realize he’s alive again. Obi and Quinlan are acquaintances who have a good working dynamic and Obi recommends Jon to Quinlan since Obi isn’t available to help. The two end up drawing Fox into their plans.
Ch 31: Cody, informed by Kix (medic), Tup, and Dogma; finally realizes that the stereotypes against Deltas are wildly incorrect and starts making a plan to help Obi and eventually the other deltas in the RID’s clutches as well -

ch 6
Cloud is 24, Sephiroth is 19. Cloud is used to fighting a 27-30yr old Seph so seeing him so young is jarring.
After waking up 10 years in the past, Cloud immediately goes to Nieblheim to wake Vincent, take care of the misinformation in the mansion, and hopes to eliminate Jenova. While there, he introduces himself to his mother as the son of her sister who moved to Icicle Inn long ago. The sister has died so can’t dispute his story. Claudia embraces him as family, and Cloud finds that his younger self feels like a little brother to him. Cloud tells Claudia that he’s just passing through, but that if she ever needs anything he will do whatever he can to help her.
Cloud smashes up the equipment in the mansion basement and then wakes Vincent. He convinces him to leave the coffin by predicting all the inner monster’s reactions to being woken, telling him Lucretia’s son is in danger and needs help before he goes down a path he can’t come back from, and promising Vincent can be the one to put the final bullet in Hojo. Chaos corroborates that there’s something strange about Cloud, and Cloud promises to explain more once they leave Nieblheim. Unfortunately when they get to the reactor, Jenova’s corpse hasn’t been put there yet, so it must be in Midgar with Hojo. Cloud decides that determining if Seph can be saved will be more expedient than trying to get to Hojo.
Cloud tells Vincent that he will observer Seph and decide if he’s redeemable, and Vincent says he will make his own determination, and decide what he will do afterwards. There’s the implication that he will fight Cloud if Cloud tries to kill Seph and he disagrees, but Vincent is also still enough of a Turk to kill Seph if it’s really necessary.
Cloud and Vincent go to Wutai and sneak into Godo’s office to offer their services, having determined that as the best way to get close to Seph without having to get too entangled with Shinra. Godo is initially skeptical, but Cloud proves himself against his best warrior and he gives Cloud a small mobile strike team to lead, since that’s where Cloud’s skills lay. After leading several missions, Cloud finally faces Sephiroth. He’s surprised to find him less refined in his skills and more reliant on his enhancements to overpower enemies. Sephiroth isn’t used to fighting other enhanced people, while Cloud is used to fighting a Sephiroth that was his match if not more powerful than him. Seph can tell Cloud is holding back, which antagonizes him, but Cloud eventually gets away and returns to his strike force. He tells Vincent that Seph was different than he’s used to, but he will need more encounters before he can make a judgment.

Summary
“I think he deserves to sweat about it for a while,” Magenta said, reclining back in her chair. “Maybe if he thinks that another guy is interested in you, he’ll come to his senses and see what’s right in front of him.”
Layla’s head snapped up to look at her shapeshifting friend.
“Magenta, that’s it!”
“What’s it?”
“I’m going to make Will jealous… By pretending to date Warren Peace.”
