Oh, how he wanted to unravel her. Pluck at the threads, smooth the twists, soothe her aching soul and confused mind. What she could craft with the resulting yarn, neatly separated and ready to be woven into tapestries…Solas had seen incredible things from her. The idea that it was possible for the woman to transcend the divine acts, and kindness, and power he’d witnessed from her before made him near beside himself with the need to see that. The desperation to go to her, beg for her forgiveness, let her catch him this time so he may try to heal what he’d broken—
But he needed to heal the world he’d broken too.
And he could not have both.
Three times Solas breaks his promise not to visit the dreams of his vhenan, who refuses to move on but cannot fight her loneliness. Three times he breaks his own heart all over again. And three times he cruelly, unintentionally allows himself to hope.

Summary
A month after the Exalted Council, Nepenthe Lavellan has disbanded the Inquisition and is committed to stopping Solas. A task easier said than done without political, magical, or physical power. So when rumors of another Elvhen temple reach Skyhold, she jumps at the chance to leave difficult memories behind and investigate. Alone.
But she is not the only one seeking the temple.
Abelas, now an agent of Fen’Harel, intercepts her, and they are forced to work together against a common enemy. As information from each of their worlds comes to light, they find themselves with more in common than they originally thought.

Summary
After the loss of the Inquisition, half her left arm, and everything she thought she knew about the elven gods, Inan Lavellan is left with pieces of her life she doesn't know how to pick up. As her friends try to help her build some sense of normalcy, Solas comes to her in dreams where they fight to reconcile what’s left of their love. Fills in the time between the end of the Exalted Counsel and the Inquisition regrouping at Haven at the end of the Trespasser DLC.
