Summary
Unlike most others, Juniper didn't believe in monsters...just creatures. When other kids would kill or torture bugs she would pick them up and return them outside to find their families...just like she hoped to do one day.

Now a teen, Juniper struggles to make rent, study, and hold down a decent job. One night while running errands, she is snatched from an alleyway by several masked ninjas who take her back to the foot clan headquarters to steal her mutated blood.
Splinter gets word that they have a captive mutant and sends his sons on a vital mission: to shut down the lab and retrieve the mutant whose blood could give away the secret of their existence and abilities.

One half-foot in particular stands out to him. He’s noticeably taller than the other three, with messy chestnut hair. What strikes him about this specific half-foot, is his eyes. Even from a decent distance away, Senshi can see the look in his eyes, the way he seems to scan the crowd that’s eyeing them all right back, as if he’s the one judging and appraising. He’s dirty, absolutely covered in filth from head to toe, and clearly malnourished, but Senshi knows immediately that he’s found his prize.

Laios has always wondered what it must have felt like to be one of those sailors back then, the ones protected by the dullness of their senses. Watching their companions throw themselves off the deck and into the murky depths below, wondering what it is that could be calling to them.
Maybe it's the same melody that Chilchuck is hearing now. Maybe the sirens are still singing the same song.The dangers of the dungeon are plentiful. Some of them are of the moral kind.
