Everybody expected Ravenclaw's wit, but not necessarily her understanding of mercy.
It was well known that Gryffindor was brave, and chivalry was part of his definition, but his morality is outright medieval. Can you count how many lovers he takes?
And really, nobody expected Hufflepuff. Will she even recognise her own house?For Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, Neville Longbottom, and Draco Malfoy, the summer started just as always. None of them planned anything in particular, nor did they expect change. But then - everything changed in just a few weeks. Not only for them but for the entire population of Hogwarts, when Helga stood up and said: All of you were fooled.

**To his right is a muggle. A muggle man who appears to be no older than Lucius himself. Maybe he is just what Lucius needs. A consultant who knows muggle life.
He forces himself to smile politely and hold out his hand to this muggle without grimacing or wiping his hand off.
"That is quite alright," Lucius says with forced warmth. "My name is Lucius Malfoy." Absently, Lucius notes how intriguing it is that there is no sign of recognition on this muggle's face.
"Nice to meet you Lucius." The stranger returns with a friendly grin. "Names Richard. Richard Granger." **
Draco and Hermione were raised together, and he despised sharing her with her muggle world and was ill-prepared to part ways when he has to leave for Hogwarts. Imagine his delight when they find she is a witch herself. Now he can keep her.
But with a war brewing, her heritage just won't do. Luckily, a Malfoy always gets what he wants.
