In an alternate universe Dick, Jason, Tim, and Damian were taken under the wing of the Grandmaster of the Court of Owls, Bruce Wayne, and turned into Talons. For years that was the only life they knew until they were rescued by a dragon and AI and moved to a new universe where they began to rebuild and live again.
That was six months ago.
Now the Court of Owls has come with an ultimatum, come back or die. And it doesn't help that Dick, Jason, Tim, and Damian happened to get trapped in yet another universe with the original batfam. Nor does it help that it's November, a month they'd specifically designated as a "family month" since the beginning of their freedom so they could celebrate, spend time with each other, and recover. Guess the universes were really trying to screw them over.

Yuuji twists several pieces of pale red tissue paper between his fingers, thinking about the crafts videos he had watched over Kugisaki’s shoulder during break today. He thinks of how easy it had been, for someone to turn a piece of paper into something beautiful simply by folding it a certain way, making a cut or two along the edges and then unfurling it. His fingers begin twisting the papers on autopilot as he recalls the steps from the video on how to make a paper flower and it only takes a blink, one, two, and he’s holding in his palms a pale red flower. It feels like nothing in his hands, weightless but his eyes take in the dozens upon dozens of red petals that sprawl outwards and it’s amazing, how easy it had been to turn a stack of plain red tissue paper into something more.
Yuuji makes paper flowers and gives them to his friends. It's as simple as that.
