Urahara Kisuke's morals were questionable at best. Deep down, he had a kind soul, but he had always done whatever it took to survive, so when an assassination of one Shiba Ichigo is ordered, he doesn't think twice about it.
Only he fails. He expected to be killed, or tortured and captured, or- listen, he didn't really know what to expect, but he's pretty sure it wasn't Ichigo making fun of him and correcting Kisuke's form

What started out as a normal, boring night of patrol, turned into a valuable learning experience. After saving a Soul from being devoured by a Hollow, Ichigo learns two things. One: Shinigami are as dense as osmium. Two: Konso isn't the only way to help a soul cross over.
