    Summary

“Do not make me go back up there,” Will says. “Not until your guests are gone, at any rate.”

“Was it really so intolerable?” Hannibal replies.

Will answers him by taking a swig from the bottle of 2000 Valdicava Brunello di Montalcino, the image of St. Michael glowering out from beneath the fist around the bottle’s neck. A muscle by Hannibal’s left eye twitches, from the unpleasant combination of irritation, confusion, and fascinated charm that is circulating through his upper chest at the moment. For a moment, he dares hope that Will is drunk enough that he won’t remember finding the basement in the morning.

    --

The third time Hannibal Lecter invites Will to a dinner party, he says yes.

    Summary

He looked over the woman that stepped into the room, her appearance throwing off every single image he’d put together in his head from what he’d already seen. With long black hair that curled like the waves of a dark endless ocean falling down her back, the woman was dressed professionally with an obvious sense of style, yet she wore thin glasses that make her kind face seem harsher along with a worn jacket that blatantly clashed with her nicer clothing.
It was as if she had dressed true to her own person and then added the two items (and a worn satchel) in a sort of self-defense mechanism to blend into the background.
A pity. If she removed them, she would by all accounts be stunning- with high cheekbones, a sort of delicateness to her frame that was excellently accented by the soft blue blouse, and the classy black heels that accentuated the curve of her legs quite nicely.
